Heal Utah Comments Docket NRC-2025-1140 - Reforming and Modernizing the Radiation Protection Framework

We, the undersigned organizations, advocates, scientists, health professionals, Tribal representatives, and community leaders, respectfully submit these comments regarding Docket NRC-2025-1140, Reforming and Modernizing the Radiation Protection Framework.
Collectively, our organizations represent communities across the United States that have experienced the consequences of uranium mining and milling, nuclear weapons production and testing, radioactive waste disposal, nuclear power generation, transportation of radioactive materials, and routine and accidental radiation releases. Many of the communities we work alongside continue to bear the health, environmental, cultural, and economic burdens of radioactive environmental pollution and the past decisions that underestimated the risks posed by ionizing radiation.
