The proposed weakening of already poor radiation standards
could increase our cancer risk by

Women, children & the elderly face even higher risk.
Billions in government compensation have already been paid to victims many of whom were exposed below the current standards.
President Trump’s Executive Orders urge the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to weaken its radiation standards to expedite the push across the U.S. for nuclear-powered data centers and more nuclear weapons and reactors.
Health harms go far beyond cancer: immune dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, stroke, infertility, and disruption of pregnancy are all linked to radiation exposure
In 2021 the NRC confirmed after six years of investigation that even one radioactive particle can cause cancer. The proposed changes contradict this science.
Invisible radioactive contamination will increase everywhere as more nuclear facilities are built under weakened oversight.
There is no safe level of radiation exposure. Every dose adds to your lifetime risk. Weakening standards to serve industry is a public health catastrophe in slow motion.
